Edwards Family Cottage, Whangarei

DescriptionA wooden cottage situated on the banks of Drummond's Creek (now the Hatea River). A small launch is near the shore. According to the caption, this cottage was built in 1885 as a town house for the Edwards family who lived at Waikaraka. Hatea Drive now covers the area where the cottage once stood.
