DescriptionFlorence Keene (nee Matthews) QSM (1908 - 1988) was a teacher and historian and was the author of many books about Northland. She was a member of the New Zealand Women Writers Society, the Whangarei Historical Society, the Historic Places Trust Regional Committee, the Northland Regional Museum, Zonta Club of Whangarei, the Anglican Church and Northland Women Writers.
