DescriptionRobert Mair, son of early Northland settlers, recorded his childhood memories and other material in notebooks. Volume 8 includes letters, poems, and weather reports (1912-1914), descriptions of the Māori King movement, the Roberton Island killings, and an extract from Reverend Richard Davis' journal.
