Florence Keene Notes, Memories and Research Books
DescriptionThe Florence Keene research notes collection comprises 16 'Exercise books' labelled A through to P. In these books Florence documented information that was needed for her current project, or which would be of use in forth coming work.
The information came from various sources – journals, manuscripts, diaries, libraries, tape recordings, encyclopaedias of NZ, personal letters, reminiscences, hospital records, jubilee booklets, Northland Age, Northern Advocate. The bulk of this work is written in Florence’s handwriting.
There is a table of contents for each exercise book on the inside cover.
This work spanned many years. Florence’s passion and commitment to the documentation of Northland's history is apparent.

Index to each volume is on the first (and sometimes last) page of the volume.
Not all volumes include Index. Cover pages of some volumes include partial content list.
Majority of volumes have been 'tagged' using terms and keywords from the Index.
Tags allow direct linking to the page on which information tagged can be found.
